The Application Specialist role is to be responsible for conducting technical trainings for distributors/sales and use trainings to end-users after installation of instruments, as well as solving application/product problems; to give after-sales support to distributors and end-users regarding instrument/reagent issues, working close to sales/service engineer team to ensure customer satisfaction; sum up and summarize experiences with instruments and share with other colleagues.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Giving training of high quality to distributors/sales/end users, given the characteristics of each
• Solve questions regarding instruments/reagents during and after installation
• Provide fast and efficient after-sales support to distributors/end users to solve any scientific/application issue
• Share experiences with other Application Specialists/Service Engineers/Sales team
• Create a quarterly schedule of training for distributors
• Support the development of scientific material for distributors and end-users
• Register all support calls, complaints and training to create a database of the most common issues

Requirements:

• Detailed understanding of physiological and pathological processes
• Understanding of clinical reactions and instrument functioning
• High levels of interest in learning new techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with clients and understanding their needs
• Training level and background training Lab Tech
• Experiences: Previous experience as an application specialist, or similar role. Minimum 3 years of experience. Knowledge in principles and theories in Biochemistry, Coagulation, Diabetology, Hematology, Urinalysis, Immunology, Microbiology, and instrument functionality. Train the Trainer Certificate is appreciated.
• Language: Technical fluency in Spanish & English mandatory. Other languages are appreciated.
• Various knowledge: Strong knowledge in Lab industry. Knowledge in medical laboratory analysis. Good analytical skills. Ability to solve complex problems and to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
