- Working on consulting engagements within a multi-cultural environment.
- Implementing analyses of power systems, engagements for transmission and industrial network planning, and grid interconnection studies of large generation, storage and load resources.
- Supporting the integration of power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, HVDCs, etc. into AC grids (from conceptual studies to project execution).
- Supporting the analyses of high frequency phenomena like harmonic distortion, transient overvoltage, TRV, missing zero-crossings, or inrush currents What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master's or degree preferred)
- 2 – 4 years of experience in conducting power system analysis in steady and transient states
- Broad knowledge of transmission planning and operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system performance analyses including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, protection coordination, short-circuit and transfer limits.
- Solid understanding of grid connection procedures and grid codes, and particularly the modelling and study work involved. Proven experience working and communicating with independent / transmission system operators (ISO / TSO), utilities, and developers.
- Advanced skills in HVDC and FACTS applications, power transmission systems, industrial power supply concepts, power electronics and renewable generation.
- Experience in power system simulation programs ( PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, DigSilent PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Hands-on expertise in programming tools such as Python, FORTRAN, MATLAB, etc.
- Excellent communication skills in speaking and writing.
- Some travel required.
- Fluent English is required.
