ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

The team you will be a part of:

  • The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary:


LARN Build planner supports System integrator, Cost & Quality Engineer in project development and implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for compiling and releasing bills of material for architecture releases (BOMS),
-
New model planning - own the new model lineup. Create/manage part numbers,
-
CN creation for new Skus, BOM changes and Drawings changes
-
Budget planning and execution tracking,
-
Creation of Purchase Requisitions and PO when you have a contract with the supplier,
-
Track all POs and Purchase Requisitions (Also for shipping requests FEDEX),
-
International freights management for samples (Importation and Exportation, Glint),
-
Prototypes coordination (raw material purchase & support negotiation with model shop),
-
Budget planning and execution tracking for both ADP and PDPs
-
Lead weekly capital calendar meetings and manage tooling schedule in PPTA
-
Lead weekly New Model Planning meetings with MFG and core team
-
PPAP approval for Quick User Guide (Windchill)
-
Updating manuals supplied with products. Version control, language translation. Manage for model line updates. Manages all literature/documentation is delivered for the project, supplier coordination,
-
Planning and coordination of CAD activities, prioritization,
-
Purchase of parts to builds (CV/DV/PV) and monitoring the assembly of products,
-
Raw material purchase request and logistic coordination to be used in the product builds

Minimum requirements:

-
If external : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering with at least 2-3 years of experience
-
If internal: Could be an Associate with at least 2 years away from graduation from Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering.

Proficient in English

Preferred skills and experiences:

Proficient user of MS Excel or Google Sheets

Process oriented
-
Good communication skills
-
ProactiveSAP / Windchill experience as a plus

Project Management as a plus
-
Design experience as a plus
-
Green Belt as a plus
