Department Overview The LMR Supply Planning & Inventory organization is responsible for planning materials and managing inventory for all Land Mobile Radio products with the objective of optimizing customer satisfaction and MSI revenue, cost and cash flow.


Job Description:

Analyzes, schedules, and modifies distribution of products to meet customer demands. Assesses product demand, inventory levels, trends and forecasts to ensure sufficient product inventory. Maximizes the efficiency and costeffectiveness of the inventory levels. Maintains appropriate balance between product supply and demand.


The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for aligning materials for manufacturing at MSIs external manufacturing services EMS partners locations with the objective of optimizing customer satisfaction and MSI revenue, cost and cash flow.

Perform analysis to balance component inventory between EMS locations.

Identify opportunities to transfer materials between EMS sites to minimize excess inventory.

Work with MSI EMS partners to execute material transfers and make necessary changes to the EMSs purchase orders.


Collaborate with global counterparts in the Supply Planning & Inventory organization and across the Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement organization.

Prepare and deliver status updates to MSI management.

Participate as part of product transfer teams to support the material needs for production movements between EMS sites.

Make decisions on transportation modes for transfer materials to meet demands while optimizing cost.

Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.

Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize writeoffs.

Actively participate in New Product Launch and Products Redesign to mitigate inventory liability

Support Engineering Changes cutovers to reduce exposure of obsolescence.

Collaborate with the Life Cycle team on the Cancellation program to reduce Exposure.

Basic Requirements


Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills up, down and across the organization verbal, written and presentation in Spanish and English

Ability to work and make decisions in situations with ambiguity and uncertainty

Actively supports diversity, equity and inclusion

Selfmotivated

Experience working with suppliers

Basic Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain or equivalent experience

5 years of relevant Supply Chain experience purchasing, planning, inventory control and NPI activities

ERPMRP Oracle, SAP, etc experience

Strong capabilities with spreadsheets databases
