EDI Support Specialist

Description:
The EDI Support Specialist will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI

systems and interfaces for the organization. They will ensure the smooth flow of data between the

organization and its trading partners, monitor, and analyze EDI data, provide training and support to

users, and work closely with IT and other departments to ensure proper integration of EDI systems with

other business systems. They will also stay informed about industry standards and regulations and will

support the implementation of new EDI projects. The EDI Support Specialist will also communicate with

customers and vendors to ensure that the EDI systems are meeting their needs and to resolve any issues

that may arise.


Responsibilities:

 Troubleshooting and resolving EDI issues, including data mapping errors, system downtime, and

connectivity issues.

 Monitoring and analyzing EDI data to identify patterns or trends that may indicate potential

issues or areas for improvement.

 Providing training and support to users on how to use EDI systems and interfaces, as well as

troubleshooting any issues that users may encounter.

 Working closely with IT and other departments to ensure that EDI systems are properly

integrated with other business systems and that data is flowing smoothly between all systems.

 Staying informed about industry standards and best practices and making recommendations for

improvements as needed.

 Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

 Supporting the implementation of new EDI projects, processes, and procedures.

 Communicating with customers and vendors to ensure that the EDI systems are meeting their

needs and to resolve any issues that may arise.


Requirements:

 3+ years of experience in EDI

 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols (e.g. ANSI X12, VDA, EDIFACT,

TRADACOMS)

 Must be fluent in English language.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
