Brand Activation Manager at Mexico - City

Descripción del trabajo
HELLO POTENTIAL FUTURE OATLY EMPLOYEE
It's us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden nearly 30 years ago, now ramping up our operations in Mexico, and because of that we need a brilliant mind (hi, maybe you?) to help us make it happen.
Sustainability, health, and transparency are the core values that guide everything we do. Basically, we exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources in the process. And while that's a big deal, we also believe all that tastes better when, well, what you're having actually tastes better.
Happens that in Mexico, coffee culture is exploding with new taste experiences, and no, we're not talking pumpkin spice lattes. The fun part is helping figure out what's next and making sure Oatly is right there in the middle of it.
If you're a hustler who wants to make a positive impact, won't take no for an answer, and knows how to have fun along the way, here's your chance to be a change-maker.
We're looking for a, well, actually "THE" Brand Activation Manager to join our team in Mexico, which happens to be one of our fastest-growing markets worldwide. You'll be a culturally connected, super-organised self-starter who is responsible for activating the Oatly brand in the market, with a strong focus on CDMX – bringing Oatly into cool, exciting new people, places, and partnering with like-minded brands to support our broader mission.
The role reports into the Brand Lead for International Markets and is based in CDMX and requires native/full professional proficiency in Spanish and English. This next section is for all the bullet point lovers out there...
What We Need You To Bring To The Table
- Minimum of 3 years in brand activation, events, marketing, or a related field around large-scale consumer goods.
- Event experience and strong project management skills.
- Deep understanding of Mexican culture and the food & drink scene, with a strong focus on CDMX.
- A robust network of CDMX-based movers and shakers in the food scene and beyond.
- Solid multi-channel brand activation experience – events, yes, we probably said that about 5 times already, but also partnerships, product launches, and retail.
- Experience managing influencers, ambassadors, and suppliers of all kinds.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
What We Need You To Do
- Collaborate with the Brand Lead of International Markets and the wider ODMC to plan and execute a dynamic brand activation calendar for Mexico.
- Partner with the Mexico Commercial and Barista teams to drive brand activation in their respective channels.
- Work with the Event team, Partnership team, as well as our local Barista Market Developers (BMDs) and Sales team to identify prime opportunities for showcasing the brand in Mexico.
- Oversee key third-party agency relationships, from project briefing to delivery and wrap-up.
- Help track and reconcile the brand activation budget.
- Support the Event team on planning, production, and execution of events, being responsible on-site, handling staffing, logistics, suppliers, and external production agencies.
- Brief, produce, and source experiential assets, collaborating with our in-house creative team (ODMC), external suppliers, agencies, and partners.
- Work with the central events team and external production partners to ensure correct documentation, schedules, and post-activity evaluations are delivered.
Who We Need You To Be
- Someone who can bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to challenges how to activate the brand.
- A meticulous planner who can manage multiple projects without missing a beat.
- A collaborative spirit who thrives in a team environment and can build strong relationships with colleagues and partners.
- An enthusiastic brand ambassador with a genuine passion for the food industry and a deep connection to the CMX scene.
- A flexible and dynamic individual who can navigate the fast-paced nature of brand activation and adapt to changing market conditions.
- A passionate advocate of the sustainability agenda who wants to create societal shifts and drive the plant-based revolution
- Engaged with our brand and love our products.
- A proactive self-starter who's supremely organised, solutions-oriented, eager to learn new skills, and bring your own perspective to the table.
- You handle a crisis with a calm and pragmatic approach.
- Resourceful and clever at stretching our budget as far as it will go.
- Able to travel within Mexico on a regular basis and spend time away from your home base.
- You're a real people person with the confidence and ability to build new and
existing relationships.
To be the perfect fit for Oatly, we believe you have a thirst for knowledge and are a result-driven person with high integrity. You thrive with a hands-on approach, even in times of rapid change. Your social competence allows you to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Finally, we hope that you share our values and have a great interest to carry out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.
YOUR APPLICATION
Phew Well done if you've got this far. We're glad we've still got your attention because we've got one last super important point to make.
As you can probably tell, we're a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it's feeling right. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, let's do this together It will be fun
Last day of application: 4th of March.
We treat all candidates equally: If you are interested, please apply through our application system - any correspondence should come from there. This will ensure that the candidate experience is smooth and fair to everyone
Love Oatly XOXO
