Responsibilities

  • Audit & improvement services delivery
  • Ensure competency and consistency in delivery with a goal of operational excellence
  • Meet regional operations targets and goals
  • Recruit, hire, manage and develop staff and contractors
  • Ensure training plan, shadow audit plan and Performance Improvement Plan continues to evolve and deadlines are met
  • Ensure prep process for the rollout of new programs training auditors, RRs, coordinators and manage client expectations
  • Ensure accreditation process is completed, including training, for schemes
  • Daily follow up of implementation of strategies and QA improvement
  • Monitor and follow up queries or feedback from Clients.
  • Respond to auditor/team questions as needed

Qualifications
-
MUST be APSCA certified (CSCA or RA):

  • 4-year college degree in a major of Law, HR, Occupational Health and Safety or Environment / an advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in social compliance auditing
  • Managerial experience a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Minimum 100 social compliance audit days (verifiable)
  • SA8000 Auditor Certification, RBA, BSCI Certification or equivalent is a plus
  • Customer service and results oriented
  • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English and Spanish verbal and written, communication skills.
  • Portuguese (desired)
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internetresearch /reporting/analysis tools
  • Maintains a global perspective and is culturally sensitive and aware
  • Ability to travel 3040% of the time
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to manage with a diplomatic and easy demeanor
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural environment with persons of varying socioeconomic status
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Interest in international labor standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, and environmental issues
  • Possess knowledge of International and local labor standards and human rights issues are preferred
