Main responsibilities:


Responsible to manage and coordinate the successful delivery of strategic Operations projects with low complexity and tactical Operations projects with high complexity.

Utilizes and provides project management expertise to direct multi-disciplined project teams and coordinates interaction with functional disciplines. Establishes priorities and gathers the resources necessary to staff the work teams.

Projects typically meet some or all of the following criteria; 5 or fewer persons on the project team; 1 or 2 disciplines involved; 1 or 2 departments with the facility involved; scope in dollars is less than $500,000 and is determined on budget, revenues generated, savings, etc.


What skills you need:


  • Plans and executes project planning to incorporate and align the task elements of the Operations processes into the overall project schedule. Includes acquiring a solid project management discipline and skill foundation to execute the project successfully.
  • Provides day to day work direction and assistance to a group of professional staff, primarily in the context of work needed against project plans. Includes coaching and counseling project team members, and develops project management skills in team members.
  • Schedules and tracks progress of all aspects of the project to aggressively work toward successful project completion in a timely manner.
  • Participates in the planning process of operational improvement projects, to determine the strategic direction, schedule and method of the project.
  • Schedules and facilitates regular review meetings with the project Champion and Steering Committee. Keeps Steering Committee and Champion informed of project progress and needs. Includes documentation and reporting of all relative activities on a regular basis back to the Steering Committee and Champion.
  • Adheres to existing Operations processes, contributes to their improvement, and expects the same of others.
  • Coordinates implementation activities with functional disciplines to plan and implement projects.
  • Develops, tracks, and meets the capital and expense budget, generally at the project level.

Education:

Degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Eng. or equivalent experience.
