    Serve as a liaison between Smurfit Westrock and customers to support supplier plants in improving overall customer service.

    Create project plans and oversee end-to-end development of customer specifications, logistics, and troubleshooting customer issues.

    Develop understanding of customers' market landscape to proactively identify areas of opportunities to add value, improve efficiency, and provide training for customer manufacturing lines.

    Manage both internal and external customer relationships, providing sales and service support solutions to deliver ongoing value.

    Partner with production, manufacturing, and account teams to ensure customer needs are properly communicated.

    About the Role

    The Account Manager will be responsible for providing specialized support for designated Smurfit Westrock customers, utilizing a value-based selling approach to engage resources at designated locations to ensure customer critical business issues/needs are met.

    This position requires effective leadership qualities, insightful business judgment, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as liaison between Smurfit Westrock and customers.
    • Create project plans and oversee development of customer specifications, logistics, and troubleshooting customer issues.
    • Ensure customer needs are met while aligning with business objectives.
    • Develop understanding of customers' market landscape.
    • Manage customer relationships and provide sales and service support solutions.
    • Partner with production, manufacturing, and account teams.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience in corrugated sales preferred.
    • 5+ years of related experience in sales, project management, and/or technical training.
    • Possess broad understanding of packaging equipment, technical capabilities, and industry knowledge.
    • Demonstrated sales competence and business acumen.
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
    • Effective leadership qualities and insightful business judgment.
