Duties and Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
Goal Setting & Planning: Defining clear project goals, creating detailed project plans with timelines and milestones, and establishing a roadmap for successful delivery.
Resource Management: Effectively allocating resources including personnel, equipment, and budget to ensure the project stays on track.
Team Management: Leading and motivating the IT team, fostering collaboration, and assigning tasks based on expertise.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks that could impede the project, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing contingency plans.
Communication: Acting as the central point of communication between various stakeholders - the IT team, upper management, clients, and vendors.
Reporting & Monitoring: Tracking project progress, measuring performance against baselines, and generating regular reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Required education, certifications and experience
Education:
BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field.
Additional Skills
Project Management Expertise: Understanding and applying project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach.
Technical Knowledge: Solid foundation in IT concepts and technologies relevant to the project domain. While in-depth coding skills might not be required, technical understanding is crucial.
Leadership & Communication: The ability to effectively lead, motivate, and delegate tasks within the IT team. Excellent communication skills are essential for clear information exchange with stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Skilled at identifying and resolving issues that arise during project execution. Can make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
