Eaton's ES CRDS COMM Commercial division is currently seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst.


What you'll do:


PRIMARY FUNCTION:


The Customs Analyst is responsible for providing direct support to Customs Supervisor, to ensure temporary inventory and import/export activity meet with all Mexican Customs regulations for the site, including material, information, and technology.


This position needs ensure the accuracy import-export operations for transfer shipments, is also responsible to coordinate with operations team import-export transactions and daily task's belongs our currently certifications and government programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA, CTPAT, and VAT certification.

This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures.

It is also responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and reporting metrics or KPIs of their operation in charge.

Also bring support for monthly reconciliation related to Annex 24 / 30.


Competences:


This position must be able to meet Customs Supervisor goals, objectives, and initiatives in a timely manner, be proactive in proposing action plans to the businesses and detecting potential customs issues before the authority detects them, thus reducing the impact on the businesses.

This position must be capable of getting results. Accomplish the expectation of the internal and external customers and quality and timely decision making.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Ensure Import and Export operations are carried out in accordance with the programs or based on instructions received and in compliance with the customs law.
  • Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing regulatory requirements in a manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Attend internal and customs audits and any other requirements from SAT.
  • Elaborate reports monthly for Import and Export analysis.
  • Assist Mexican sites in charge, being in compliance with reporting management, including among others like Annual IMMEX report, INEGI report, Submanufacturer report, etc.
  • Assist in Inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records (Open Balance).
  • Assist to keep the legal entity in compliance to warranty the certifications and programs accredited like IVA, IMMEX, OEA, CTPAT, PROSEC, etc.
  • Ability to balance ruledriven processes with creative problemsolving skills;
  • Intermediate-Level Trade Compliance Specialist.
  • Analyze and propose strategies to integrate regional content into finished products in order to meet the criteria of international treaties.
  • Assist to obtain NAFTA Certificates of Origin and Affidavit from the Manufacturer of Raw Material Suppliers.
  • Assist Audit the NAFTA Certificates of Origin and the Affidavits of the Manufacturer of the Raw Material Supplier.
  • Organize and manage both physical and electronic folders of Certificates of origin.
  • Active role in external audits in relation to certificates of origin.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law
  • 25 years of experience
  • Fluent in English-Spanish languages
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas)
  • Knowledge of annex 30, 24, 2
  • Basic auditing Skills
  • Balance Account Reconciliation
  • Knowledge of ERP transactions
  • Ability to improve and update Customs Software
  • Develop efficient interfaces between ERP and Annex 2
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of all FTA that currently exist in Mexico
  • Root cause analysis
  • KPI's maintenance
  • Knowledge on pedimentos filling
  • Issues Solving domain of electronics Transmission
  • Knowledge on Global Trade Rules
  • Availability schedules time for 1rst shift and 2 Shift or Saturday
