Purpose:

Quality Engineer is responsible for guaranteeing processes under the quality standards established by the organization, manages the suppliers and customers of the company to carry out a more efficient production, develops strategies that guarantee the quality of the receipt material as well as the finished product.

Prepare reports to senior management about relevant data for decision making.

Basic knowledge in:

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Metrology.

High knowledge in:

Customer Service, Supplier Tracking, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, ISO 9001, IATF 16449 & VDA 6.3, Core Tools, GD&T, IMDS Management.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in the industry in Quality area, desirable to have worked in Automotive Industry Tier 1.

Responsibilities

Supplier base management and claims process
Planning and execution of process audits to suppliers
Coordinate raffle campaigns, scrap disposal and debits
Component approval via APQP & PPAP
IMDS management for new components
Receipt inspection area management
Using 8D Troubleshooting Techniques, PDCA
Knowledge of GD&T & use of measuring equipment and gages
Analysis of customer receipt claims, as well as the preparation of 8Ds reports based on customer requirements.
Manage the monitoring/followup of customer response for quality claims in a timely manner.
Management of customer portals.
Perform the analysis, monitoring and verification of the implementation of actions to improve quality problems with the customer.
