    Commodity Specialist- Ensenada, MX

    At Allegion, we spend millions of dollars with supplier partners every year. We buy raw materials, fabricated components, sub-assemblies, finished products, indirect material, professional services and other items needed to support the day to day operations of a S&P 500 Company. Our Supply Management team ensures we have strong and creative relationships with internal stakeholders and the right supplier partners, so that Allegion can get the best value and continue to invest in its great new products and customer relationships.

    Working within Allegion's Supply Management team, you will be responsible for supporting procurement activities which includes reporting supplier activities, running analytics on commodity spend, and managing system updates. This position takes direction from the Commodity Manager and works cross-functionally to deliver critical information that drives cost, quality, and delivery to meet company goals.

    What You Will Do:

  • Support supplier activities and reporting.
  • Support Allegion operating systems for inflation, productivity, tariff, and other reporting activities.
  • Supporting regional and/or global commodity strategy development and execution as needed.
  • Gather and review part drawings, specs, and testing/approval requirements - engage with Engineering and Operations validate completeness.
  • Support new supplier assessment and set-up processes and procedures
  • Prepare and conduct RFI's, RFQ's with suppliers and evaluate against the commodity strategy.
  • Collect and validate commodity spend for segmentation, rationalization & project planning.
  • Compile supplier financial/performance analysis for negotiations.
  • Provide support between Allegion and suppliers related to quality, delivery, forecasting, payment issues and other items as needed.
  • Support development and documentation of best practices and process improvements.
  • Develop or manage supplier performance metrics for the assigned commodity, including cost productivity, supplier quality, supplier risk.
