About the role:

As part of the Global Communications team, you will lead all external and internal communications for Samsara in Mexico.


This is the first communications hire for the region, so you should be comfortable operating with no set playbook in place (while also building the playbook for the future).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on an important and growing region for our company

In this role you will be responsible for increasing our brand awareness through earned, paid, owned, and social media channels, working closely with partners in the US and Mexico


Example activities include:
customer announcements and storytelling, product launches, event speaking opportunities, awards, and paid media campaigns.

You will also be responsible for engaging our Mexico employees through events and written communications, and managing select executive visits as needed.

In this role, you will:


  • Build and execute a communications strategy spanning external communications, internal communications, and talent brand. Breakdown will be roughly 65% external, 30% internal, 5% talent brand.
  • External:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media spanning mainstream and trade.
  • Craft compelling narratives to keep Samsara top of mind for customers and talent.
  • Partner with product marketing, content marketing, customer marketing, events, and more to drive our product, customer, and data storytelling efforts.
  • Own development of Mexicospecific materials, briefing documents, and reporting.
  • Build a paid media program and own it endtoend.
  • Come up with creative ideas for how to engage key media, influencers, and thoughtleaders.
  • Internal:
  • Create an internal communications strategy that ensures Mexico employees feel part of Samsara's global journey and proud of the impact they are making as a Mexico team.
  • Translate and localize UScommunications to Mexico employees (examples: newsletter, People team updates, etc.).
  • Manage quarterly executive visits, inclusive of employee AMAs and events.
  • Talent Brand:
  • Create quarterly talent brand spotlights to support Mexico's hiring goals.
  • Partner closely with the US talent brand team to align campaigns and activities as necessary.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new office
