ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:


Univision Digital is seeking a talented Social Media Motherhood Content Editor to join our team in building and expanding a new Lifestyle vertical focused on parenting content through various social media platforms.

Our mission is to create engaging and informative content for Hispanic mothers in the United States, providing valuable insights and support on parenting, child development, family life, and related topics.

The Lifestyle team's primary focus is to develop a robust parenting content strategy that is inclusive and resonates with the diverse experiences of Hispanic mothers.


ABOUT YOU:


You are a passionate and creative editor who possesses a deep understanding of social media storytelling and the unique nuances of different platforms.

Your expertise lies in curating and creating compelling content on a wide range of parenting topics, designed to address the challenges and joys that Hispanic mothers encounter in their parenting journey.

You have a keen eye for identifying trends and insights related to parenting in the Hispanic community and can translate them into engaging content that fosters a sense of community and support among our audience.

Your storytelling abilities are exceptional, and you can spark meaningful conversations around parenting topics, including but not limited to:


  • Child Development: Create content that covers various stages of child development, including physical, emotional, social, and cognitive milestones. Provide tips and guidance to support mothers in nurturing their children's growth.
  • Parenting Styles: Explore different parenting approaches and styles to help mothers find strategies that align with their beliefs and values.
  • Family Bonding: Share ideas and activities that promote bonding within families and strengthen the parentchild relationship.
  • Health and Nutrition: Provide expert advice on maintaining the wellbeing of both mothers and children, including tips on nutrition, exercise, and mental health.
  • Education and Learning: Offer guidance on supporting children's education and fostering a love for learning at home.

Address the challenges of balancing parenting responsibilities with career aspirations and personal well-being.

  • Multicultural Parenting: Celebrate the diverse backgrounds of Hispanic mothers and explore how cultural traditions influence parenting practices.
  • Parenting Hacks: Share timesaving and practical tips that make parenting more manageable and enjoyable.
  • Parenting Challenges: Discuss common parenting challenges and provide solutions to overcome them, such as discipline, sibling rivalry, and sleep issues.
  • Parenting Community: Create a sense of belonging by facilitating conversations and interactions among mothers, encouraging them to share their experiences and support one another.
  • YOUR DAY-TODAY:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for the Parenting vertical across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and others, focusing on the above topics.
  • Ideate and produce engaging content in various formats, including videos, articles, infographics, and interactive posts.
  • Analyze insights and analytics to shape content strategies, identify opportunities for adopting new formats and platforms, and optimize content performance.
  • Take a "handson" approach to content creation, including writing, designing, editing, and being the oncamera talent for parentingrelated series on Instagram or other platforms.
  • Stay abreast of parenting trends and quickly adapt content strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Cultivate and strengthen industry relationships to gain access to exclusive content and collaborations.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms with the editorial team to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Collaborate with the branded content team to develop creative brand integrations and ensure seamless execution for sponsored campaigns.
  • Identify and collaborate with parenting influencers and creators to amplify content and grow the audience.
  • YOU HAVE:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media content production, copywriting, and content editing.
  • Proficiency in visual storytelling and a deep understanding of various digital platforms.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Knowledge of Latino and Hispanic culture in the United States.
  • A proven track record of producing content that generates engaging conversations online, particularly related to parenting and family topics.
