    Job Summary:

    This person will provide support for development, verification and certification of new products, from concept through production, for OT Drivers, ECG and LE; Will provide support also for sustaining and resolution of field problems.

    This person will lead project already open to completion.


    Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

    • Prototyping of LED Drivers an ballast
    • Support to do al the need test for complete driver validation
    • Redesign current products for Cost reduction
    • Design components selection
    • Participate in all the stages of the product development, R&D Samples run, Pilot Run and manufacturing Run.
    • Create the documentation needed to release the product to Mass production and register on the system
    • Participate on Design verification and Gate meetings.
    • Internal Relations: NPI, Marketing, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, Sourcing Department and all the design centers on AcuityBrands
    • External Relations: External suppliers
      Skills and Minimum Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • 1 to 2 years in Design Engineering
    • Fluent English
    • Technical knowledge on power electronics circuits
    • Boost, Buck, Flyback Topologies
    • LLC, LCC and resonant topologies (Desirable)
    • Linear regulators
    • Electronic component selection
    • Electrical simulation experience (Pspice / LTSpice)
    • Microcontroller programming skills
    • C/C++ and assembler knowledge
    • Equipment knowledge
    • Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, AC/DC power supplies, electronic loads
    • PCB design knowledge, electrical, standards and manufacturing rules
    • Management by objectives
    • Proficient ability to communicate verbally and in written form
    • Must work well in cross-functional team environments.
    • Understand and adhere to the appropriate established industry and safety Standards.
