- Develop and maintain supplier base to meet the requirements of manufacturing facility. Will evaluate supplier effectiveness and initialize necessary action to ensure quality and cost criteria's are maintained within negotiated expectations
- Established and maintains communication with vendors/suppliers to improve lead times, prices or any procurement issue.
- Requests and evaluates new quotations and negotiates with vendors/suppliers to obtain best prices, quality and delivery terms.
- Procures material in accordance with established requirements.
- Participates in qualifying vendors through vendor certification process.
- Assists are required materials review board to represent department, regarding assigned purchased materials.
- Actively pursues continues cost reductions of prices and lead times
- +5 years of experience negotiating and purchasing for a manufacturing facility.
- MRP II purchasing.
