We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
TS Platform Operations Network Specialist


Also the Network Specialist will raise, follow and manage the tickets related to network incidents with HSBC vendors & providers.


Principal responsibilities

  • Identify and improve efficiency and potential improvements of Datacentre Network environment
  • Communicating effectively with key business users regarding to Incidents on the Datacentre Network Infrastructure
  • Participate during the piloting of new network services and hardware
Requirements


Calificaciones - Externas

  • Overall understanding of Datacentre Networks in order to support the infrastructure to be able to prioritise the Incidents
  • Excellent Understanding of Network hardware and Software and general IT Support principles
  • In depth knowledge of best practice within a support environment.
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Cisco Routing & Switching Technologies (ACI, NXOS & IOS), Firewall and Load Balancer technologies, traffic analysis, network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of the business.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Find logical solutions to problems.
  • Work out of hours to faciliate RTB & CTB requirements
  • Proven ability to prioritise against competing demands.
  • Ability to lead in crisis response and recovery.

Experience

  • General experience in IT support
  • A broad understanding of IT hardware, software, operations and networks
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly assess situations, their impact and options for resolution.
  • To be able to prioritise faults, estimate fix times.
  • Good team player skills which rely on honest open communication and reliability of individuals to strive to deliver an excellent service to the customer
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional qualifications such as Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching, Cisco CCNP Datacentre is an advantage
  • Experience working in Enterprise scale environments, and familiarity with change control processes
  • Ability to manage and prioritise service delivery within a diverse and constantly changing technical environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence peer group good negotiation skills.
  • Understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands for time and resources
