    Description

    This position is responsible for the analysis, review, negotiation, and elaboration of all kinds of Contracts and Agreements. Also, this position assists the Corporate Secretary in the elaboration, revision, and management of corporate governance documents and records.

    Accountabilities

    • Performs the analysis, review, negotiation, and preparation of all types of Contracts and Agreements, including but not limited to: Transportation, Commercial, Services, Financial, Purchase, Leases, Licenses, Non-Disclosure, Government, and Tax, among others.
    • Participates in the development, documentation, and implementation of commercial, technological, operational, financial, infrastructure, investment and tax projects.
    • Advises all areas of the company in the legal transactions they carry out, and supports them in all contractual matters.
    • Assist the Corporate Secretary in the elaboration, revision, and management of corporate governance documents, including stockholders' and board of directors' resolutions, powers of attorney, corporate books, and registries.
    • Writes all documents in English and Spanish.
    • Exemplifies CPKC Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders.

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited university or college.
    • Minimum Fifteen (15) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Contracts, Corporate, Civil, and Commerce Law, writing and signature of contracts.
    • English 90%
    • Effective written and spoken communication skills.
    • Postgraduate Studies in Contracts, Corporate, Civil, and/or Commerce Law (recommended)

    Preferred

    • Excellent academic record
    • Microsoft Office System Knowledge.

    Working Conditions

    • This position has a regular full schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
    • This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
