This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the IT Sourcing Spin-off team and drive the IT contracts disentanglement of GE Healthcare from GE Company.

This position will focus on establishing standalone contracts for GE Healthcare during its transition service period post spin-off.


In this role, you will be a member of the Spin-off team working to achieve the best business outcomes from an IT sourcing perspective as we spin GE Healthcare into a world class standalone med tech company.

This role is responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities and procurement of software solutions critical to our operations. This role will actively support GE Healthcare's IT organization on sourcing separation activities.

The position requires a savvy business professional with deep software knowledge and top-notch licensing, supplier management, negotiation, sourcing, and project management experience.

It will involve strong project management & analytical skills and working with existing IT Sourcing organization in negotiations with the software industry, master complicated licensing models (on-prem, hosted and cloud), develop strong relationships with both senior IT leadership, and with executives within the supplier companies.

This is an Individual Contributor role.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the enterprisewide sourcing software spinoff strategies in alignment GE Healthcare's IT organization goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand software requirements, specifications, budget constraints and spinoff timelines.
  • Execute all IT Sourcing related separation activities through the sourcing process of contract negotiation (RFXs), supplier evaluation and selection, contract creation and buy channel management.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, conducting performance reviews and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with legal and sourcing teams to ensure contracts are welldrafted, compliant, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Coordinate with the Healthcare IT Separation Management Office team, IT teams and IT Sourcing team to drive IT spin priorities.
  • Management and upkeep of IT Contract databases and various Sourcing trackers.
  • Track and monitor program status and metrics to ensure milestones are met, and internal and external delivery commitments are met.
  • Manage third parties necessary for meeting project objectives on time.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure software solutions meet security and compliance standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • This role requires significant experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management.
  • 5 years of experience in IT, IT Sourcing, or IT Program Management in IT sourcing and software licensing experience or IT related contract management/analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience/ knowledge.
  • Ability to read and understand complex IT Contracts.
  • Fluent in English
