In Totum Talent we'are searching for extraordinary talent as a Quality Engineer for a multinational company in the metal mechanic industry located in Mexicali, Baja California.
Requirements:
- Fluent English
- Previous experience as Quality Engineer in the metal mechanic industry min. 2 years.
- Proved experience in the implementation of projects with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma metodologyes. Min. 2 years.
You will be responsible to ensure that a company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems._
RESPONSABILITIES
- Developing and implementing quality standards and control systems.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance and its associated KPIs.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Problem solving Oriented following the A3 methodology, Six Sigma tools or other, developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
- Quality continuous improvement by continually challenging the results obtained in the Quality KPI's. Through evaluation, analysis, and teamwork to achieve the established goals such as Rework, Product Audits and Scrap.
- Strong communication of the performance and results of the quality system and KPIs with the personnel involved at the manufacturing processes.
- Provide Support and actively participate in all projects such as NPI, Vertical integrations, CR, or any other providing all the deliverables for each project on time and complete from a Quality perspective
- Implementation and control of the quality system (ISO9001) at the plant.
- Control of documents, CAR's, SCAR's and PARS, Internal audits, ensure the quality product, etc.
- Development of process deviations and communication to personnel involved at manufacturing areas.
- Development of all the necessary documentation, trainings and control of process documents and quality system.
- Provide the necessary tools (gauges) to the manufacturing process to verify the quality of the product.
- Control and certification of process critical operations, training of new operations and changes in the process, strong communication with HR for the documentation and registration the given trainings.
- Nonconformance product control, monitoring, communication, system transactions, disposal, root cause analysis working close with manufacturing personnel, suppliers, planners, scheduling, division, etc.
- Responsible to take decisions and make actions according to our Quality Policy. All taken decisions and actions should be focused to create a culture of continuous improvement in the organization exceeding the expectations of the Client by providing products and services of excellent quality.
- Responsible to perform daily activities using 7 Habits and Emotional intelligence tools as base prioritize safety and integrity.
- Maintain and update the Deviation's control system.
Technical Knowledge
- ISO 9000 Knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Knowledge (DMAIC, Poka Yokes, etc. )
