    Middle Full Stack Engineer (Java/React)

    This is a remote position, open to candidates from the entire country.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain messaging products that enhance the hiring journey and user experience on Indeed;
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions;
    • Tackle technical debt and ensure system stability by maintaining existing applications and addressing unanticipated requests from external teams;
    • Implement efficient and scalable solutions using Java, Kotlin, or Scala for the backend, along with React and Redux on the frontend;
    • Apply best practices to write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers on the team.

    Required Skills

    • At least 3 years of experience working with Java, Kotlin, or Scala;
    • Familiarity with modern databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or other SQL/NoSQL databases;
    • Expertise in building RESTful or GraphQL APIs, focusing on scalability and maintainability;

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience with database design and optimization;
    • Familiarity with messaging queue technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ;
    • Strong background in software development with hands-on coding experience;
    • Solid understanding of computer science concepts and software design principles;
    • Ability to work effectively in agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
