    Role Purpose.

    The role of Accounting Policy Manager supports Head of Accounting Policy Mexico and LAM to ensure accounting standards are correctly and consistently applied and new accounting standards are successfully implemented.

    As a part of 2LoD team, the role is engaged to properly escalate any deficiency observed in the accounting processes reviewed to 1LoD/2LoD.

    The role requires significant communication with Finance functions of LAM sites and Group Accounting Policies in other regions

    Main Responsabilities:

    Main activities:

  • Accurate application of IFRS and Mexican GAAP (only applicable for Mexico) to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial reporting information for new initiatives and/or products.
  • Help in the coordination of the implementation of new accounting policies and changes on timely basis.
  • Provide accurate and timely turnaround of accounting opinions.
  • Identify and report inconsistencies found in accounting processes to 1LoD/2LoD teams.
  • Requirements
  • Background in Financial Institutions, Big4 or Mexican regulators
  • Highly knowledge in Financial & Banking processes
  • Advocate to the application of accounting standards (IFRS/Mex GAAP)
  • Preparation or review of financial statements
  • Leading accounting standards implementation
