The Ongoing Product Development Engineer is a member of Ford Motor Company's Product Development organization. The OPD Engineer has responsibility for delivering designs consistent with ICA/MCA scale programs. Additionally, the OPD Engineer will have cross-commodity system level responsibility for creating and authoring tolerance charts. Further, the OPD Engineer supports Quality Sprints.

The Ongoing Product Development Engineer should possess the following skills and experiences:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, BSME or BSEE preferred
Engineering Problem Solving; root cause identification and analysis, developing Containment Actions and Permanent Corrective Actions
2 years of experience in Body Shop build principals such as assembly flow, GD&T and dimensional
Strong understanding of body and / or EDS automotive systems
Ability to establish a system engineering approach to problem solving
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools for documentation and presentation and WERS
Working in a fastpaced challenging environment.
Ability to travel to support trials
Open to Hybrid Work (Naucalpan)
Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches
Lead Application D&Rs and VO Body Construction teams to develop and author tolerance charts
Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, and Quality Sprints
Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product Quality
Make presentations to various levels of upper management (Program reviews, Quality Sprint reviews, Engineering Managers reviews)
