Investment Sales Specialist (Puebla) - Asset Management

Role Purpose:

The role is a specialist role and is part of the Asset Management structure. The position is based Puebla City MX. The incumbent is expected to be a technical expert in investments and sales oriented.


The sales plan for Asset Management Mexico is a strategic priority for HSBC, where the Investment Specialist is the key figure to develop and increase penetration on Investment Funds & Discretionary Portfolios into WPB looking for the benefit of our clients providing expert advice and following suitability model.


Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Role of Investment Specialist is a key contributor in achieving the business objectives


Training

  • Training RMs on technical & practical skills through programed trainings & improve RMs' product specific technical knowledge by effective onjob coaching and training.
  • Strengthen HSBC's image as a leading investment provider by enhancing RMs to advanced technical product expertise.

Sales

  • Conduct portfolio reviews with RMs, assess product suitability and market and regulatory change impact to products held by clients as appropriate, identify opportunities and manage risks
  • Provide advice to RMs based on technical knowledge on investments.
  • Assist RMs in deepening and growing client relationships through identifying and uncovering client's needs, identifying relevant investment solutions and technical analysis, and assisting RMs in presenting and explaining solution(s) to client
  • Support RMs to gain more clients' confidence and trust in HSBC capabilities and increase the effectiveness and quality of needs fulfilled

Market Views & Client Events

  • Provide the assigned region with market views and assist on client planned events
  • Participate in Investment Committees for Asset Management decision making within the portfolios

MI, Performance Tracking & Process Streamlining

  • Manage MI for performance tracking to understand which is the problematic and how to approach it, through straight approach with RM and strategic approach with senior sales management
  • Streamlining, contribute to simplify process through technical knowledge & on the ground experience.

Clients/Stakeholders

  • Initiate and conduct educational events with clients to improve clients' financial literacy and knowledge of financial markets and solutions
  • Continue to develop and sharpen technical expertise, working closely with the Wealth Management team.
  • Identify and provide feedback from RMs and clients to product & central teams in order to continuously improve our products and services

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Proactively work with the assigned region to provide client centric services and solutions
  • Strong team player that deploys time strategically and commercially in order to support the different segments assigned in the division.
  • Work with Head of AMMX & head Wealth Management to provide front line perspective and input on the planning and development of products, associated processes, and tools where relevant
  • Assist in the launch of complex products where appropriate
  • Act as an ambassador for HSBC, AMMX and exhibits high professional standards
  • Partner with Sales Managers to identify and manage product specific needs and risks in their structures
Requirements


Functional Knowledge

  • Economic/Finance Administrative Degree.
  • MBA or Masters in Finance desirable


  • AMIB

  • Experience in sales of financial assets greater than 5 years

Others

  • Maintain and continuously develop technical knowledge of products and solutions for area of responsibility
  • Efficiently manage time in order to effectively work with all relevant segments whom could be located in different branch locations
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to improve product relevance and competitiveness for HSBC
  • Maintain high standards of product suitability, control, and operational practices in line with HSBC and regulators expectations
