Our Architecture & Engineering Industrial team participates in large scale design projects to create future thinking spaces.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • As part of the Mexico City Buildings team, you would directly collaborate with other Arcadis IBI Group teams in Canada, The USA and Latin America
  • Working with the Architecture & Engineering Industrial team in a range of architecture & urban design projects, mainly focused on Industrial Architecture (manufacturing & automotive)
  • Manage multiple project resources from crossfunctional teams, as well as interfacing with project leaders, technology specialists, professional staff, vendors and consultants
  • Developing the architectural & design projects on a collection of complex small projects, medium size projects or large projects
  • Participate throughout all the phases involved in Industrial Architecture projects
  • Prepare and coordinate detailed design and construction documents, review of working drawings prepared by inhouse staff or outside consultants
  • Define and decide objectives related to the project or segment of a large project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective
  • Conduct onsite observations and document site reviews, processes submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
  • Maintain relationships with Clients while administering the daytoday operations related to completion of project deliverables, securing municipal approvals and any other project objectives
  • Support the Team Leaders in building their client base by cross selling services across the Company
  • Prepare and update detailed 'Project Plan' including scope of work, schedule, budgets
  • Lead regular project team meetings and work directly with the Team Leader, Project Engineers and Project teams and supervise workload
  • Assist and coordinate the efforts of the Team Leader, such as resource management, business development, workload and revenue forecasting and preparation of the annual Business Plan
  • Complete / review functional servicing reports, preliminary and detailed design calculations for land development projects including sanitary and storm sewers, watermain, grading, cut/fill and connections to existing infrastructure within the ROW
  • Complete / review the detailed stormwater management design, modelling and report for submission to the Conservation Authority and/or review agent
  • Preparation/review of quantity take offs, cost estimates and tender documents, addenda, bid analysis and recommendation, assist the client with the bidding process
  • Overall project management including writing proposals, budget tracking, preparation of invoices, payment certificates and change orders, conduct project meetings
  • Assign work and oversee the drafting and design output for junior Engineers, Technologists. Oversight of Construction Inspectors and the construction process

Qualifications:


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Architecture or Engineering Degree required
  • Master's degree would be beneficial and Structural, Installations, Mechanical / Electrical would be preferable.
  • At least 5+ years' experience with various land development projects (industrial, subdivisions, infill developments, condos, institutional, commercial especially Industrial)
  • Effective project management and technical skills
  • Full command of verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience with Business Development Activities would be desirable
  • LEED accredited professional is preferred
  • Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively
