Job Description:

Application Engineer

Are you high energy and willing to challenge yourself to help our customers succeed? In this position you will work in the engenering side in the successful execution of Medium Voltage or Low voltage orders through Order Entry to Shipment.

Previous knowledge with MV products, LV product, Industrial maintenance or commissioning will be an asset along with previous experience developing electrical system solutions.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure customers success.

You will create and modify electrical drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs) for orders varying in complexity related to the Motor Control Center and Variable Frequency Drives.

Role Description
Designs, defines, and implements Motor Control Centers system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

Manages the development and implementation process of Motor Control Centers ETO projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing ETO projects.

Plans and directs schedules. Monitors the ETO project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.

Main Responsibilities

Create and modify Electrical/Mechanical drawings
Modify BOMs to meet custom modifications
Commercial Skills Manage customer scope, provide change order proposals pricing and execution

Wide Skill Set

Application Engineers are a wide variety of skills to be able to perform all facets of the project from start to finish (Project Management, Electrical Design and Drafting, Mechanical Design and Drafting, Customer/Plant Communication)
Excellent time management and organizational skills

Qualifications

B.S. Engineering Degree, Electrical, Automation or Mechatronics, related degree
Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
Technical knowledge and experience in automation and/or Medium or low Voltage Motor Control Centers
Experience in understanding NEC, UL, CSA, IEC
Strong technical background with expertise in problem solving techniques.
Strong technical communication and organizational skills

Bilingual Advanced English
