    Kiewit Mexico is seeking a Pipe Spooler to join our team. At Kiewit, we pride ourselves in delivering projects that make a difference by working on some of the industry's most complex, challenging, and rewarding projects. As a Pipe Spooler, you will assist in the fabrication of complex piping assemblies for industrial projects. You will work with a team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality products safely and on-time.

    Responsibilities

    • Should be detailed, oriented and able to read and interpret industry drawings (i.e.,, BOM, piping isometrics, and equipment layout drawings).
    • Read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a pipe spool.
    • Check shop drawings (Typically pipe isometric drawings), part detail drawings, piece mark drawings
    • Use and analyze job specifications and be familiar with shop/ yard/ welding practices.
    • Operate Windows Systems computer, handheld calculator, compass, scales, and drafting tools.
    • Perform hand and computer aided drafting and material take-off tasks.
    • Plan, organize, multi-task and carry out assignments with minimal direction and supervision in order to meet deliverable dates.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 2 years of experience in industrial pipe fabrication.
    • Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment such as pipe cutting machines, beveling machines, and welders.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and detailed drawings.
    • Knowledge of pipe-fitting techniques and measuring tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
