We are looking for a Project Manager to guide the Product and Engineering organization through various stages of the development lifecycle while adhering to established best practices.

As a Project Manager you are comfortable with managing the project delivery scope of multiple projects of varying complexity with geographically dispersed teams.

You will own and drive complex programs for the Product and Engineering groups.


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute expertise to product development, coordinating the development of new technologies.
  • Work closely with the development team to energize them and keep deliverables on track and provide structured software development lifecycle guidance for them to follow.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying levels of complexity in parallel.
  • Risk assessment, tracking and mitigation planning, regularly reporting status and escalations to ensure no surprises.
  • Manage internal and thirdparty development teams to deliver projects.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and enforcement of the Engineering PMO's Delivery Best Practices.
  • Contribute to a healthy, collaborative team environment.
  • Report on product development progress.
  • Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottomline impact.
  • Works with product managers in developing a strategy and roadmap that helps them succeed in their business goals.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, technology management, business management or similar required.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Experience with Atlassian products: Jira and Confluence, or similar software tools.
  • Must have critical skills: communication skills, leadership, coaching skills to mentor the team; ability to motivate and influence others without direct authority.
  • Experience in product development planning.
  • Ability to collaborate with software and IT engineers.
  • Ability to report to senior managers.
  • Experience in software product engineering, deployment and integration.
  • Vendor management experience to support software/hardware procurement and resource allocation.
