Ensure import and export transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable Customs laws and regulations while maximizing duty-savings for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide import compliance guidance to all functions within a site or multiple sites.
Conduct site risk assessments, audits, and support to complete corrective actions to mitigate risks in Maquiladora sites.
Participate in and provide support to more complex and demanding projects for example: transition projects in Maquiladoras as Subject Expert of Matter.
Create necessary procedures to improve communication among stakeholders to maintain VAT, AEO, IMMEX, Import Licenses for Maquiladora Sites.
Advise to Compliance Management, at any level, of key issues, new and potential problems, entry errors as required.
Ensure training for import export personnel and other functional areas as ISC, Finance, Taxes, HSE, and Legal, across multiple site(s) that may deal with trade compliance in Maquiladora Sites.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in international Trade, Foreign Trade, business, or related field.
3 years in import/export experience or related discipline
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Strong background in international trade operations
Deep Knowledge of Mexican foreign commerce legislation
Knowledge of Customs regulations.
Excellent understanding of core processes and Trade Compliance.
Comprehensive knowledge of traffic, procurement, receiving, engineering, ISC, and other related procedures that impact import or export transactions.
