- Planning, design, and implementation of training programs.
- Conduct training classes/modules for new hires as well as existing employees.
- Write training documents and SOPs while keeping them updated.
- Stay current on changes in the freight forwarding industry, including new rules/regulations, customs classifications, and general ocean freight industry changes.
- Prepare and oversee examinations of new hires.
- Coordinate with department managers to determine curriculum for training.
- Other activities or duties can be assigned.
- You have a bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources, or any Learning and Development equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience working in a similar role
- You feel very comfortable managing Microsoft Platforms: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, and Teams meetings.
- Freight forwarding industry experience is preferred.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish

About the Position
The Operations Trainer will support the training of new employees in our various departments including ocean import, traffic/trucking, customs brokerage, and various others. You'd also be expected to write standard operating procedures for existing and emerging business units. If you have experience in the freight forwarding industry and strong communication skills, this could be the perfect fit for you.
