    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under indirect supervision performs several technical quality control and quality assurance labors, such as process audits, establishment of inspection methods, establishment of statistical process quality control programs, continuous improvement of the quality metrics. Can supervise some employees.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Continuous improvement: process inspection, first past rate, start up, nonconformance material, scrap.
    • Information acquirement.
    • Data Stratification (Paretos) and Data trends.
    • Replication of failure modes.
    • Root cause definition.
    • Implementation of problem containment countermeasure.
    • Definition of action Plan.
    • Permanent countermeasure implementation.
    • Verification of problem solution effectiveness
    • Problem Solving Documentation.
    • Define and document the acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations in the transfer of new products.
    • Obtain from suppliers and customers the acceptance criteria that is being suggested or requested for their specific parts; assemblies and/or products performance.
    • Select and document the applicable criteria for each operation, manufacturing or assembly processes.
    • Train personnel in regards of the documented criteria.
    • Monitoring the application and understanding of the criteria.
    • Providing visibility to top Management.
    • Performs FMEA / FMECA studies.
    • Assignment of the action plan in order to implement the preventive countermeasures and the required control plan according to the PRN obtained in the FMEA/FMECA study.
    • Customer Issues / CAR (Corrective action Request).
    • Application of statistical techniques where required.
    • Implementation of SPC where applicable.
    • Application of 8-D tool.
    • Disposition of non-conformance material Returns (NCMR) and customers raw material returns (RG'S).
    • Failure analysis.
    • Control system improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • 8-D tool
    • Tress Software knowledge
    • ISO 9000 Statistical process control(SPC)
    • FMEA Failure mode and Effect Analysis
    • Continuous improvement Tools

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

    • Scholarship: Bachelor degree.
    • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the position.
    • Languages: English 90%
