About the job
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining multiple Pentaho Servers across different business units.

This includes providing Level#1 and Level#2 support for 100+ jobs, following run book procedures, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Support and maintain multiple Pentaho Servers across different business units.
Follow run book procedures and restart jobs in case of failure (Level#1 support).
Troubleshoot issues based on run book procedures, provide fixes/solutions to failures and escalate to Level#3 support if necessary (Level#2 support).
Collaborate closely with teams outside of IT, such as Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
Communicate effectively and document processes and solutions for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Demonstrate selfmotivation, willingness to learn new technologies and business domains, and take initiative beyond basic responsibilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Verbal and written English language proficiency.
3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL Or any relational database.
2+ years of Pentaho Data Integration Tool Or any ETL/ELT tool like Talend, Informatica, or DataStage.
1+ years of experience in VerticaDB Or any columnar Databases.
Experience working closely with teams outside of IT (ie. Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing, Sales).
