Kaizen Tech


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for supporting product line transfers and startups as a member of the Manufacturing team for continuous improvement activities.
  • Works closely with the Manufacturing team (sending team) to receive designs to develop.
  • Participates in the installation and sequencing of machines, workstations, tools, parts, and supplies to optimize the efficiency of the production process.
  • Develops and or duplicates machines, tools, cars, and tables based on engineering drawings and/or pictures.
  • Works closely with a degreed engineer to develop designs into solid models from concept sketches and generate detail drawings for machining, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Applies lean manufacturing knowledge and proficiency with assembly and metalworking processes, tooling, fixturing and material conveyance methods to develop the most efficient solutions.
  • Support weld area projects requiring technical welding support.

Requirements:


  • Machining Experience
  • Ability to weld (preferably GMAW, but not required) and layout weldments by hand.
  • Able to handle different machines like cutting, CNC, and manual machining.

Optional Requirements:

  • Experience in line transfers and startup of production lines.
  • Experience operating assembly equipment and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components.
  • Knowledge of ASME y AWS standards.
  • CNC machining experience.
  • Understanding and belief in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to take advanced projects from concept to production.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach others.
  • Ability to work independently, competently and within a team.
  • Ability to work on different shifts and workdays.
  • Use of equipment as forklift and cranes.
  • Demonstrated orientation toward Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ambulatory ability to walk and stand on a continuous basis; to bend, stoop, and kneel on an intermittent basis; to lift medium weight objects up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
