Role Summary


The Product Owner has the full accountability of the product throughout the entire life cycle, including user needs, communication, finance, build, transition, operations, support, and decommissioning.


The Product Owner is instrumental in ensuring the sustainability and the cost efficiency of its products with the primary target to deliver value for the Group.

The Product Owner must identify what processes and what architecture capabilities his product will be contributing to.

He / She must federate all initiatives in a functional area in order to have the largest potential customer base for his product.


The Product Owner is the content authority on features and user stories, providing the team with guidance as to what has to be delivered and ensuring flow of the Product through the Squad Backlog.


Responsibilities:

This role could be in the management of MOTOR, HOME, TRAVEL, and HEALTH unit related platforms:

  • Be accountable for estimates on Change Requests, User Stories, Project efforts
  • Be responsible for stability and security of the named portfolio in line with changes requested by the business.
  • Be responsible to ensure the changes are delivered in terms of quality, budget & stability for the present, medium and long terms aims of the portfolio.
He/ She will be responsible jointly with the Business owner:

  • Develop and manage services as a product across their entire lifecycle: lead the ideation, development, launch, pricing and continual improvement of innovative products to drive maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Define the services from their conception to their launching/golive and further maintenance.
  • Build new services: technical solution selection, costing, recommended pricing, recommended SLA
  • Drive the development of the services ensuring that these ones are profitable
  • Manage small / midsize, multinational development team.
  • Provide the Application owners with clear goals and aid in prioritising development so that sprints can be developed and tasks assigned accordingly.
  • Interact with senior personnel from all aspects of the business community (technical and non technical).
  • Assist in shaping business requirements into viable and valuable enhancements.
  • Provide clear and concise professional analysis and explanations to senior management on projects (current and future) to aid in budget planning and forecasting.
  • Provide a single point of contact for senior management to interrogate on escalated situations.
  • Communicating with the stakeholders to understand their requirements
  • Answering all questions from the team and providing necessary clarifications about the product
  • Accepting and approving completed work items, or parts of the product
  • Managing and refining the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and optimize the value of the work performed
  • Scheduling the sprint review, ensuring stakeholder attendance and leading parts of the meeting such as summarizing work completed
  • Deciding when to release the product
  • Coordinating delivery of the final product to the appropriate users

Su Perfil

Essential requirements:

  • Knowledge in digital transformation focused on the insurance, assistance or banking industry
  • Deep experience in Agile Methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban,)
  • Technical background (preferably with Software engineering and coding experience).
  • Ability to analyse and understand both technical and business documentations and deduce valid requirements which can be translated into viable products.
  • Proven track record of successful project management at Application Owner level.
  • Ability to forecast and plan budgets and resources for upcoming deliverables.
  • Budget management & Product lifecycle management

Desirable:

  • Agile; SCRUM or SAFE Certification
  • Language skills: Advanced English
