Location:

Work from home to start but when and as we return to work preference for vicinity of and accessibility to Monterrey, Mexico.


Role Description:

The Compensation Specialist role is designed to work independently under supervision. The specialist introduces new processes, collects feedback about the performance, prepares analytics around and develops/implements process improvements. The Compensation Specialists have regular training sessions for HR Business Partners and line managers. They constantly work on increasing the awareness of the compensation agenda in the organization.

The Compensation specialist participates in HR projects as a regular team member and provides inputs for the successful completion of projects.

This role is fast-paced, dynamic, multi-faceted and requires diverse skills. As the job involves constant communication in a multinational organization, this position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You need to be extremely organized and efficient with the ability to manage multiple duties at any given time.

Analytical Skills - The Compensation Specialist must have the ability to deconstruct information into smaller categories in order to draw conclusions. Analytical skill consists of categories that include logical reasoning, critical thinking, communication, research, data analysis and creativity

Agility: The Compensation Specialist will be required to become involved in various and diverse tasks. In general, the duties will constantly change, which requires a person who is flexible and open-minded.

Interpersonal Skills: Maintaining positive working relationships inside and outside of HR is critical to your success. The ability to build and maintain relationships is key.

Communication: The Compensation Specialist will be communicating with individuals across all levels of the company, both verbally and in writing. The ability to display a consistent, professional degree of communication is important.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify market trends, monitor competitiveness, and model cost implications of compensation programs
  • Ensure design and pay levels allow attraction and retention of key talent; make recommendations and/or design adjustments globally while comprehending local country requirements and practices
  • Consult and collaborate with members of COE, HR, and business to explore problems, resolve issues, or offer solutions on matters related to compensation
  • Assist in the administration of Equity programs including analysis and working with outside vendors, internal stakeholders/users, etc.
  • Support implementation of compensation management tools to improve compensation administration; maximize utilization and optimization of tools and techniques
  • Provide thorough evaluations and analyses on an ongoing basis ensuring compensation programs are designed and implemented to meet the evolving needs of the company's global population
  • Ensure delivery of the highest levels of responsiveness and execution of compensation programs and processes

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 3-5 years compensation,
  • Preferably market pricing, survey submission, and equity administration/reporting experience.
  • Proficient in writing and speaking English.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Specifically, Excel (Graphs, Pivots, Formulas, VLookUps, and more)
  • Must have strong analytical skills and modeling experience using spreadsheets/databases
  • Proficiency with HRIS functionality and ad hoc reporting; Oracle Fusion experience preferred
  • Experience with global compensation plans and programs
  • Must speak and write fluent English.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail with strong followup and organizational skills
  • Flexibility, comfort and desire to dig in and work through the details
  • Ability to work independently
