Job Description:

As a software developer in the connected vehicles team at Bosch Engineering you will work on a host of challenging projects related to connecting vehicles to the internet and to each other.

Projects are primarily focused in three areas:

Enhanced Development
Operational Monitoring
Connected Automation

You will join a small team of passionate engineers who are pushing boundaries and developing cutting edge solutions.

You will create software that runs both in-vehicle and in-cloud using multiple languages including C, C++, Go, JavaScript, and Python.

You will be responsible, as part of the team, for the entire software lifecycle from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.

You will use modern best practices including Git based development with continuous integration and deployment and cloud-native technologies whenever possible.

Qualifications:

As an engineering service provider, our most important asset is the skills, knowledge, and passion of our developers.

In that light your most important qualification is a love of learning and the innate satisfaction that comes with finding the right solution to a difficult problem.

Familiarity with the following technologies is recommended:

Understanding of software design and computer science fundamentals
Multiple programming languages with the desire to learn more
Internet and networking technologies such as IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT
Understanding of automotive communication technology (CAN protocols, J1939, UDS etc.)
Linux usage in a server or embedded (Raspberry Pi, etc.) environment
Open source software development workflows using Git and pull requests
