Job Description:

Principal _
Accountabilities:_
Provide transient structural 3D CAD/FEA modeling solutions for gas turbine hardware/ systems (compressor, turbine, combustion such as compressor blades, turbine blades, turbine nozzles, disks) and in support of digital twins
Follow design guidelines/ practices to design/ develop components/ systems
Work with cross functional team including turbine aero performance, heat transfer, materials, design layout, and manufacturing to develop digital twin components
Communication and information sharing with colleagues, product owners, and technical leads
Archive and document all completed work using standard procedures
Minimum Qualifications:_
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
5+ years of engineering design/analysis experience
1+ year of FEA experience or ANSYS basics training course
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the design/ development of engine hardware
Hands on experience with engine hardware
Knowledge of hardware lifing techniques
Ability to read/ interpret and develop engineering drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Working knowledge of engineering analysis (FEA)
Preferred Qualifications_
Gas Turbine Experience
Experience with designing / developing engine hardware (compressor, combustion, turbine)
Prior experience with FEA software such as Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent
Prior experience with CREO
