Itron is looking for a
Material Planner/Buyer Associate to join our global supply chain team.

In this role, you will plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of material through the production cycle to support plant operations.

You will determine material requirements from the MRP system. In addition, this role coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering. This person is also responsible for assisting procurement with business system data integrity.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Execute to sales & operations forecast, identifying material constraints, and driving component supply to ensure production cleartobuild.
  • Analyze, plan and manage inventory, service levels and backorder.
  • Generate and implement ideas to improve efficiency, save cost or improve service.
  • Improve materials related inventory control systems and activities.
  • Ensure on time delivery of open orders and reschedule when necessary.
  • Propose changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes.

Experience: 2+ years of related experience in Supply Chain and purchasing is required.


Required Experience:


  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)

Preferred Experience:


  • MRP & ERP experience with Oracle

Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
