    Position Overview:

    The Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for maintaining, enhancing and expanding Automation Framework to meet the automated testing requirements of Insulet's expansive IT project portfolio. This includes test script creation for digital, web, and mobile platforms in both validated and non-validated systems. The Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will communicate key metrics and track progress towards automation quality goals. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring applicable automated test coverage is completed satisfactorily by engaging with our project teams, and embedded manual test team appropriately. As a Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you will work as a member of the ITQA Automation staff to deliver automated test solutions for regression and continuous integration (CI) methodologies.

    Responsibilities:

  • Work with product and software teams to define, develop and execute automated test scripts to support Insulet's ongoing IT program initiatives. Increasing automated coverage where applicable.
  • Assist in prioritizing and implementing Framework updates and enhancements to ensure the automation solution meets the necessary standards.
  • Aide project teams in automation tasks as they relate to creative, functional, and mobile/desktop frontend and backend deployments.
  • Document detailed test scripts derived from defined business requirements and functional test cases and support the QA organization to coordinate test plans across multiple stakeholders/vendors.
  • Build and execute test scripts with attention to detail ensuring all system components function per defined requirements and are production ready prior to launch.
  • Assist in implementing the appropriate automation framework solution for web and mobile apps.
  • Create quality measurements, reports and tracking metrics through the automation framework to be consumed by the project teams, and stakeholders as well as the internally.
  • Education and Experience:

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Automation experience working within the Selenium frameworks using object, data and hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong exposure in implementing and maintaining software automation framework solutions for Salesforce, web and mobile apps, front end, back end, and middleware architecture.
  • Understanding of Atlassian products to support job scheduling, defect reporting, code repository and integration within Selenium frameworks.
  • Experience working with GIT, and Bitbucket to facilitate version control.
  • Strong technical background working with the JAVA programming language and experience with Maven.
  • Keen business analysis skills with the ability to intricately understand requirements, functional specs, and systems to facilitate the creation of Automated test scripts.
  • Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Extremely organized with excellent communication. Solid presentation and facilitations skills.
  • Hands on experience working within the Salesforce Classic and Lightning ecosystems is a plus
  • Proven experience working with Test Management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Exposure to mobile, web and front-end manual and/or automated testing disciplines.
  • Hands on and action-oriented self-starter who can work on complex projects with minimal guidance/oversight. Ability and willingness to create all project deliverables as needed.
  • Understanding and/or experience working in a medical device/ healthcare or Life Sciences company.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams, on concurrent projects.
  • Exposure to working with global project teams and/or products and on/offshore teams.
