    Head of Business Development - Latin America Job ID 381662BR Aug 30, 2023 Mexico Job Description Join Sandoz as the Head of Business Development for Latin America, where you'll support global business development deals by seeking, evaluating and structuring collaborative external agreements in deeply specialized functional areas while managing internal processes to finalize those deals


    Your Key Responsibilities:
    Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Deliver against the organization's Business Development strategies and plans/objectives.
    • Execute against the organization's objectives through the proactive management of alliances to enhance value of the Alliance and manage partnership risks.
    • Lead the execution of finding activities and alignment with strategic priority targets.
    • Co-lead due diligence, build network of contacts, oversee evaluation of partnerships at multiple levels.
    • Support negotiations and structuring of transactions (e.g. License deals, out license, JV, divestments etc.), and take part in drafting contracts.
    • Manage stakeholders, present to internal leadership teams and drive internal consensus on opportunities.
    • Support the formal governance process to seek and obtain approval for appropriate deal opportunities and adhere to internal BD&L review process to ensure quality and consistency of the evaluation of all Business Development activities in accordance with process guidelines.
    • Present the opportunity to appropriate deal committee and champion approval of negotiation and execution mandates.
    • Manage Business Development projects, including the prioritization of activities and support the prioritization of Business Development projects in accordance with strategic priorities. Carry out day to day project management, resource allocation, managing across matrixed functions, timeline adherence, internal and external communications, leading & working effectively in x-functional teams and oversee the management and development of direct reports (where appropriate).     What you'll bring to the role:

    • Bachelor's degree required; degree subject area in Finance, Business or related preferred; MBA a plus.
    • 10 years industry experience with a minimum 5 years of experience in leading BD&L.
    • Proven track record of deal execution in scientific, pharmaceutical environment.
    • Exceptional planning, organization, negotiating, and influencing skills
    • Ability to build relationships with and influence cross –divisional senior leaders and rewarding collaborations and with external partners Why Sandoz?
