Role Overview


Blue Yonder's Sr Technical Consultant will be responsible for working with global functional & technical teams under various customer engagements to gather and understand technical cloud implementation requirements for TMS projects.

She or he will work on the technical reported issues/problems and drive towards solutions and fixes.

The individual will work with regional customers/stakeholders to implement, rollout, support our designed products/solutions to efficiently satisfy business requirements while balancing complexity to ensure processes are supportable and meet customer satisfaction.

After an individual attains expertise with the domain, solution, and technology, the associate might also have the option to work on customer projects in consulting roles (Deploy).


As a senior technical consultant, the associate will mentor and help to develop other team members from TMS Onboarding and Professional Services.

Associate should have strong product knowledge in at least any 3 of the below areas

  • Cloud Architecture (Azure preferably)
  • This is a must have
  • Any SCM Execution Solution like WMS or TMS
  • BY Solutions preferred but not mandatory


  • Business Analytics

  • Cognos, Informatica


  • Webservices

  • SOAP
  • Integration platforms like Mulesoft and REST APIs
  • Oracle RDBMS concepts and best practices.
  • ABPP (optional) / Java
  • Windows / Unix OS management and best practices.

Responsibilities:


  • Act as the technical point of contact for all Blue Yonder TMS projects and their related support cases from customers and/or other internal stakeholders.
  • Blue Yonder TMS Solution suite installation and configuration including understanding of associated 3rd party components.
  • Proactive alert monitoring and driving corrective and preventive actions to ensure solution availability.
  • Identify areas of improvement and scope of automation on routine tasks or activities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges.
  • Understand Technical end to end architecture of a customer ́s Blue Yonder TMS solution through early engagement and knowledge transition from the sales and functional implementation teams
  • Lead Technical upgrades and rollouts, by providing assistances on change requests and other technical troubleshooting
  • Follow ITIL best practices and other Blue Yonder processes for incident, problem and change management and other Deploy & Operate activities
  • Document resolution steps on Knowledge Articles to promote case deflection and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with the Blue Yonder TMS Solution Experts for complex issue resolution including Product Development.
  • Continuous learning on latest Blue Yonder TMS Solutions.
  • Continuous knowledge sharing and mentorship of other team members.
  • Recommend and Implement Cloud Architecture and Technical best practices when applicable.
  • Document, escalate and provide alternate solutions to any technical issue detected when applicable

Qualifications:


General Skills and Requirements:

  • 6+ years relevant work experience

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other IT related degree
  • Master's degree in any IT related field or Cloud Architect Certificate highly desirable

Technical Skills:

  • 4+ years of Cloud experience Implementation and/or Support (Azure preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in log analysis, monitoring, and networking tools (i.e. AppDynamics, Splunk)
  • 6+ years of experience in debugging/analyzing code in any of the programming languages (Java/.Net/C++, Python, shell scripting, PowerShell)
  • 6+ years managing operating systems (Windows/Unix) and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid experience with Oracle SQL and MS SQL
  • Solid experience in ITIL
  • Experience in supporting MuleSoft, webservices (Rest/SOAP PI) based integrations would be a plus
