EDS Connector Application Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Duties:


  • Single point of contact for EDS Wiring teams for connector related items.
  • Provide connector recommendations to EDS teams and module teams that align with connector strategies.
  • Work and interface with EDS teams and module teams on design assumption when new connection systems need to be developed.
  • Participate in component design review at milestones.
  • Review and sign off component device transmittals.
  • Identify and develop TVM actions.
  • Work with purchasing to follow the sourcing strategy.
  • Drive commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms
  • Provide Build support (inplant) to EDS Wiring and module teams with connector related items. To include rootcause analysis, develop corrective and preventative actions.
  • Work closely with Core Connector D&Rs and Purchasing to develop and drive connector strategy globally.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:


  • Design and release experience.
  • Demonstrated outstanding D&R engineering discipline.
  • Strong problemsolving skill: 8D and 5D
  • BS Engineering degree in EE or ME

Preferred Qualifications:


  • High degree of motivation
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge on electrified powertrains
  • 6 Sigma trained (Green Belt Certified)
  • Cross functional team leadership
  • Project management
