The MES Product Manager is a critical role on the Connected Factory team. The role is responsible for developing and executing the overall MES transformation vision, having deep manufacturing operations understanding and partnership with business stakeholders to deliver innovative product solutions for the global carrier factories. The MES product manager is responsible for product selection, enhancement, release planning and deployment having customer obsession and passion to deliver the optimal solutions.

This role will report to the Associate Director for Connected Factory (Solid).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development/customization and deployment for MES solution, having a global scope and broad ownership of DT consultants, integrators, and developers to achieve the project key dates defined by stakeholders.
  • Walk backwards the internal customer requirements to ensure solution meets the expected deliverables from a qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
  • Transform the requirements provide by the Business into detailed user stories.
  • Work closely with Integration COE, ERP COE, DT Factory COE, and scrum teams to refine and review the stories in preparation to sprints.
  • Influence product backlog prioritization to optimize the customer outcomes.
  • Ensure scrum team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Provide direction to the scrum team and stakeholders throughout the sprints.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expertise) as DT technical resource for customer consultations and initial customer deployments.
  • Expand the product capabilities and the product scale to the global Carrier footprint while dealing with multiple ERP systems both modern and legacy.
  • Document lessons learnt, benefits and impact of product implementation across factory sites.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certified or have "on the job" experience.
  • Lean / Six Sigma black belt certification (desired).
  • Master's degree in applicable discipline (desired).

Domain Expertise & Experience

  • 10+ years proven experience on MES/MOM product implementation for large scale regional/global environments.
  • 10+ years on industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Minimum of 510 years of digital or software product experience including experience in product management and/or product owner role.
  • 5+ years on Ignition and/or related SCADA platforms.
  • Minimum of > 3 years of proven, handson experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Preexisting experience and/or demonstrated aptitude for learning digital tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.

Skills & Abilities

  • ISA95 model understanding, factory hardware and software technology integration.
  • Experience working with Sepasoft MES modules (desired).
  • Software Development understanding, PLC experience & SCADA Systems integration.
  • Knowledge of multiple PLC environments and brands: ABB, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.
  • Good understanding for industrial network technologies, cyber security, and remote connections.
  • Experience on cloud environments and software as a service (SaaS) Solutions.
  • Selfmotivated to innovate. Critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and adaptability.

Other requirements

  • Fluent in English language both spoken and written is a must.
  • Willing to travel internationally (up to 33%).
  • Willing to deal with multicultural, multilingual, and multiple time zone, global environments.
