    About the Opportunity

    At Driscoll's, a Systems Administrator is a technical professional with specialized skills in administration of physical, virtual, and cloud servers and services, responsible for the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and upkeep of all company systems. This includes support of servers and services
    regardless of geographic location, hosting platform, or service type throughout Driscoll's.

    The system administrator will proactively monitor and resolve any incidents or escalations and respond to monitoring/alerting from internal and external tools. The system administrator will follow company policies and help define standard operating procedures while keeping in mind best management
    practices, including seeking opportunities for process and service improvement through automation, management tools, and Infrastructure as Code practices.

    We are looking for a candidate with an in-depth understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud, experience in ERP implementations, and a team player and leader that is reliable, enthusiastic, committed, creative, and customer focused. This role also requires strong collaboration skills to focus on a diverse palette of technical and operational work in a continuously evolving environment.

    Responsibilities


    • Administer Microsoft Servers and technologies including, but not limited to: Active Directory, Exchange & Email Services, RDS, File Share, Backup & Restore, and monitoring systems/alerts.


    • Platform administration, management, and troubleshooting of VMWare, Citrix, file sharing platforms, storage (including NetApp) and current and future systems installed at Driscoll's.


    • Configure, administer, and support Office 365, including mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc. for all company services.


    • Respond to escalations and alerts proactively and take ownership of resolving system and service problems.


    • Responsible and accountable for monitoring and responding to issues/alerts to maintain desired uptime and meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) to customer incidents and requests.


    • Responsible and accountable to administer and operate backup, recovery and disaster recovery support for all systems and services.


    • Provide deployment, maintenance and patching support to various applications, systems, and services and communicate the maintenance and deployment progress to various stakeholders.


    • Status reporting of the various systems tasks, tickets and overall productivity metrics and make efforts to improve the performance, efficiency and customer support.


    • Customer Support: Extensive support of systems and services provided to customers as it relates to Driscoll's Headquarters, remote Driscoll's Distribution Centers, Contract Distribution Centers, Nurseries and office complexes; provide escalated support for systems, basic network support and general PC support. May be a member of the 24/7 on-call support on rotation.


    • Technical Support: Support of all systems and services related issues and escalations. Resolve DNS issues, troubleshoot LDAP queries, fix Terminal Server, Citrix environments, File Servers, Driscoll's Applications, and other similar problems.


    • Manage and maintain asset tracking information and licenses for server products and systems tools/software.

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent.


    • 5+ years of experience as a Windows, VMWare, Linux, cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) system administrator.


    • 5+ years of relevant IT System and Services support work experience.


    • Requires knowledge of and administration expertise in Microsoft Server Technologies including AD, Exchange, Windows Server, Remote Desktop, File Sharing, Backup, Restore and monitoring systems/alerts; VMWare, Citrix, File Sharing Tools/Platforms.


    • Office365 configuration, service management, and troubleshooting of any problems.


    • Operating servers and services in on-prem, hybrid, and cloud hosted platforms, with VMware and AWS a strong technical preference.


    • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in the system, services, and/or cloud technology space.


    • Advanced English written, and verbal communication.

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Experience with PowerShell/Scripting, automation tools or platforms like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.


    • ITIL methods and practices.


    • International travel may be required, so a valid passport and ability to secure travel visas is mandatory.
