    What you will do:


    The Demand Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the consensus demand plan at multiple levels of aggregation, using statistical models within ERP, and leveraging insights from Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance teams.

    The consensus demand plan includes sales from JCI to a network of distributors, integrators and direct customers.

    This role will also be responsible for the supply planning activities to plan optimal inventory and capacity from JCI based factories and 3rd party suppliers and to ensure timely execution of phase-in / phase-out plans globally.

    The successful candidate will have exposure to inventory planning, capacity planning, forecasting, finance, manufacturing, product management, metrics KPIs and will work closely with JCI peers to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and industry best practices.


    How you will do it:

    DEMAND PLANNING

    Develop accurate and timely demand plan for material and capacity, optimizing inventory and working capital while minimizing forecast variability rolling 12 months.

    Develop, maintain, leverage and refine demand planning performance metrics including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, revenue forecast accuracy, CRSD, IOH, DIOH and IBP maturity.

    Evaluate, compare and define gaps in demand plan against top-down business objectives
    Understand data requirements to maintain supply planning processes; communicate and gain alignment with cross-functional leaders to improve quality by studying trends, seasonality & historical performance, new items and product category changes as well as events and causal factors
    Understand product management, sales and marketing inputs for product roadmap, promotional volumes, marketing initiatives and share impact and adjust base level forecast
    Develop specific forecast models for SKUs to achieve revenue plan, customer service levels, phase in and phase out plans
    Ensure alignment of the consensus demand plan with product road map, sales outlook, financial integrated reconciliation, operational targets and provide analysis of variance
    Use current demand planning systems to create the best statistical forecast possible using established processes.
    Drive root cause analysis to understand demand plan error in prior periods and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    Define and implement inventory stocking level strategies.

    Create, implement and manage strategic inventory entitlements for key products, customers and regions.
    Utilize fact-based approach to challenge assumptions inconsistent with brand strategy and highlight risks and opportunities.
    Create a robust planning function to support continuous improvement in the total Supply Chain.


    IBP PROCESS

    Oversee the Demand Planning portion of the IBP process characterized by a single set of Demand Numbers (agreed by Product Management, Finance, Sales, and Operations) for the purpose of short, mid and long-term planning.

    Ensure the consistency of the demand plan at each level of aggregation and over the different steps of the distribution network
    Establish and lead consensus meetings with Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Finance and the Management Business Reviews with Senior Leadership Team
    Define, implement and present risk assessments and mitigation plans to senior management and IBP stakeholders


    PROJECT MANAGEMENT
    Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with key stakeholders and team members.

    Ensure team works in conjunction with Product Management, Sales, Finance and Operations to maintain required knowledge of customer practices, needs and strategies as they relate to forecasting and customer ordering processes.

    Work in a fast-paced global environment using multiple systems and requiring development of ad hoc reports integrating data from a variety of sources.


    OPERATIONS
    Drive/support operations related and ad-hoc projects.
    Help to resolve complex demand/supply imbalances with key stakeholders.

    Partner closely with Supply Chain and Logistics to successfully manage product transitions, both end of life and new product introductions.

    Participate in efforts to reduce costs throughout the Supply Chain.

    Bachelor degree
    Advanced English skills
    Travel up to 10%

    Over 5 years of experience in Demand Planning for an OEM in a global manufacturing and distribution environment with an understanding of B2B, B2C and supply chain management.

    Strong analytical and data skills (Excel/access/Sql, etc.)
    Comprehensive knowledge of operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data, supply chain management and constraints management.

    Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders leading through influence.

    Building relationships with key internal and external customers based on trust and confidence.
    Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
    Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills.
    Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
    Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment.
    Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.

    Deep knowledge and experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, inventory control and management practices and procedures, customer service, ERP and IBP.

    Experience applying statistical models and analytics.
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus.

    Highly Preferred
    Systems/ERP knowledge – SAP/JDE/Oracle
    Planning tools experience – Logility/JDA
    Proficient in Microsoft applications
    APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification
    Six Sigma Lean Expert
