  • Essential duties include the following:_
  • Processes requests from business units by evaluating the priority of the request, identifying requirement needs, and delegating to support resources for delivery.
  • Maintains system support tables including client facing portals and internal system indicators.
  • Researches and identifies reported issues from the business units and identifies required software changes.
  • Coordinates with the user and technical staff to identify root cause and workaround.
  • Communicates solution and priority assessment to internal and external customers.
  • Reports and communicates requirement progress to stakeholders as input to project status report.
  • Facilitates requirement gathering workshops including conducting interviews, brainstorming sessions, storyboarding, process modeling, and data modeling.
  • Documents highlevel business, functional, nonfunctional, user, and testing requirements into a detailed business requirements document.
  • Reviews test strategy, test plans, and test cases to ensure requirements are met.
  • Supports Software Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing teams as needed; and reviews defects and works with both internal and external customers to determine priority of fix and manual workaround.
  • Some college course work in a technical field, equivalent math or technical aptitude, or equivalent experience in an Information Technology, Insurance, or Financial Services environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of process models and requirements documents and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data content and structures for systems supported.
  • Basic understanding of and the ability to utilize business system analysis, modeling, design and documentation techniques, and testing methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like.
  • Able to maintain job knowledge expertise by attending technical conferences, seminars, association meetings/groups, and the like to maintain an understanding of business processes and related systems for supported business units.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities such as analyzing workflow, developing reports, or other duties.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
