Within the Johnson Controls' Global Products business unit, the Global Operations supply chain organization is responsible for more than 90 manufacturing plants and distribution centers which have over $900 million of annual freight and warehouse spending.


Within Global Operations, this role supports the North American Distribution Center organization by providing informative, relevant, and timely financial analysis on monthly performance, forward looking budgets and forecasts, and operational initiatives for five distribution centers.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES:


  • Provide financial planning and analysis for assigned distribution centers
  • Using OneStream and ERP data, prepare and present financial cost performance results
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, providing insights and decisionmaking support to the business.
  • Assist with the completion of annual financial plans, including developing files to document key assumptions, alignment with site and regional DC managers, and loading of forecasts into OneStream
  • Support of month end close processes
  • Calculate freight accruals for distribution centers and coordinate journal entry booking with the RTR organization
  • Coordinate restructuring journal entries between headquarters and RTR teams
  • Review results and proactively investigate any abnormalities with the RTR teams
  • Create a strong financial governance culture
  • Assist in developing CARs, tracking project cost, and ensuring capitalization completed
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to JCI policies in areas such as inventory management, purchasing, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
  • In partnership with the RTR team, conduct balance sheet reviews
  • Perform other duties and complete ad hoc projects and tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Continuous improvement attitude, high standards, and strong organization. Proactive.
  • S trong analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with IT systems as they relate to financial functions and operational areas
  • Individual PC skills, particularly Excel / Power Point and OneStream are a must. Will work with multiple ERPs such as SAP, JDE, and BAAN.
  • Fluent in English.
