POSITION OVERVIEW (INTRO TO JOB):_


  • ABOUT THE JOB (RESPONSIBILITIES):_
  • Design and Execute Build and Release Coordination, Planning & Execution processes & plans in conjunction with Application/Engineering organization
  • Work with release engineer to create standard deployment checklist for required tasks and roles/responsibilities of participating areas
  • Collaborates with systemspecific IT resources and other Ops IT team to provide support, input, and feedback in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work with project teams, production support teams, and IT Leads to determine and manage release criteria for all release items
  • Develops, audits, monitors, and establishes release management processes and policies in support of ensuring completeness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Track and confirm release status to key stakeholders
  • Track releases by all other IT departments; identify potential conflicts between store systems releases and all other software releases, and work to resolve prior to launch
  • Involvement with monthly and yearly metrics, review with leadership, and propose solutions for issues
  • Assures the quality of and adherence to system/software product standards processes and procedures.
  • Provides expert guidance to build upon quality assurance and release delivery standards to achieve business benefits for all stakeholder groups. Focuses on continual process improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • ABOUT YOU (QUALIFICATIONS):_
  • Expert understanding & proven experience in Release delivery methodology & practice
  • Experience in maintaining and managing releases with broad view of programs and projects to ensure release delivery standards are followed.
  • Excellent understanding of system development life cycle
  • Typically requires 25 years of technical experience.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of the systems development life cycle
  • Excellent and demonstrated problem and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven experience producing systems engineering artifacts including, but not limited to:


  • Release Management Plans

  • Scoping, Release Construction, Release Stabilization and Build & Deployment processes
  • Involvement in creation and maintenance of the release schedule
  • Software Configuration Management Plans
  • Configuration Management Audits
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Process flow diagrams
  • Advanced knowledge of project management, continuous development practices, quality assurance, test methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of automation testing process and ability to evaluate test results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills including the ability to create and deliver technical briefings to all levels of management
  • Strong team management experience to drive the team to deliver and exceed at successful repeatability in system deployments.
  • Foster positive work relationships with all stakeholders customers, clients, coworkers, suppliers, other contractors, and visitors, to meet identified contractual obligations
  • Tools:
  • Extensive working knowledge using the following: Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Planview, MS Excel, Jira, Confluence
