TE Connectivity's ERP Systems Teams conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise wide systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Baan, PeopleSoft) across functional areas.

They perform analysis of systems specifications and use the latest analytical/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes.

TE's ERP Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Responsibilities:


  • Determine Business Requirements

Meet with users, management, and colleagues to analyze and understand business requirements withsuffi cient detail to determine the appropriate solution.

Record the requirements in a functional requirements document. Include input and output requirements,process maps, screen layouts and business benefi ts as appropriate.

Coordinate the activity of other SAP analysts to ensure complete requirements are defi ned, including teammembers who are located off -site (India), and working with TE partners.


  • Lead complex enhancement requests or projects in a cross-team collaboration.
Meet with business users to understand their request and agree on an implementation plan.
Monitor and manage activities linked to the project timeline and budget.
Capture issues and engage with the relevant people to eliminate issues.
Interact with a Technical team to communicate requirements and design proposals.

  • Design SAP-based Business Systems
Independently evaluate alternative solutions to business requirements and document a recommendeddesign.
Provide an estimate of the cost and risk of an SAP solution.

  • Confi gure the SAP system
Translate business requirements into SAP confi guration.
Enter, test, and migrate the required SAP confi guration to production.

  • Prepare Development Specifi cations
Document the required functionality, input, and output for ABAP/SAPScript/ Smartforms programs, and thetechnical requirements of interfaces to other systems.

Provide oversight to ABAP developers to ensure requirements are understood and that a well-designed,effi cient, and supportable solution is developed.

Provide and use unit test scenarios and test data

  • Investigate and resolve test problems, coordinating the activities of others as required Support DataMapping from Legacy Systems
Develop and maintain mapping documents that defi ne requirements for legacy system data to be loadedinto SAP.
Communicate and explain mapping documents to local IS organizations creating extracts.
Review extracts (fi les) to ensure they comply with the mapping specifi cations.
Verify extracted data is correctly loaded into SAP consistent with the intended mapping.

  • Develop SAP Batch Jobs, UNIX Scripts and Variants
Defi ne batch processing requirements and interface requirements.
Create the necessary SAP jobs and variants.
Support Operations in the creation of job schedules.
Ensure Unix fi les and directories are used effi ciently and securely

  • Test the SAP System and its bolt on systems when needed
Provide integrated test scenarios to confi rm a working solution for the business requirements.
Test, or help others to test the system, documenting the results.
Investigate and resolve test problems, coordinating the activities of others as required.

  • Provide Training
Create and modify training materials, presentations, and White Papers.
Deliver training to a project's local implementation team and to others as required.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 57 years' experience in SAP SD ECC/S/4 Sales and Distribution as an Analyst and/or Architect
  • Experience the following technologies is a plus: Oracle/PLSQL, XML, htlml and Java.
  • Educational Required/Desired
  • University degree in relevant fi eld of study, such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems orSupply Chain Management.
